Cathy Tagnak Rexford is Inupiaq, French-German, English and Dutch. She is a writer, actor, and a lover/junkie/producer
of short films. She has worked
extensively in Native education and language efforts as well as
contemporary Native theater and film projects. She holds a BA from the
Evergreen State College in Native American Studies and a BFA from the
Institute of American Indian Arts in Creative Writing. She is currently
writing a collection of poetry and a series of children's stories based
on Inupiaq history
and culture.

Kind of Blue Productions is about high impact contemporary literature and art. We focus on poetry, fiction, essays, dramatic writing for the
stage and for film, research, graphic arts, photography and web
design. Kind of Blue Productions is organic creativity based in Alaska. We collaborate beyond borders,
beyond culture and beyond media.
